For the 300th anniversary of the city of Karlsruhe, we transformed the baroque castle tower of today's State Museum Baden into a multimedia spatial cinema.
On the old tower walls and darkened windows, the history of the castle and the city is brought back to life in opulent poetic imagery. A series of projections invites visitors to experience new scenarios of former times. Actor and Grimme Award winner Ben Becker appears as the resurrected city founder, the Margrave Karl III, who shares his great passions of gardening, music and alchemy with visitors.

About
In addition to the Margrave, Wilhelm von Baden-Durlach takes visitors on a journey through the city’s history. In a series of canvas-filling emotional images, the tower room is transformed into various settings, from a mystical forest to a surging sea of tulips. The images derive from historical engravings and paintings and have been lovingly animated and imaginatively interwoven with anecdotes to pull visitors in.
