Racing Heroes

KTM Motohall

Mattighofen (AT)

2019

In 2019, KTM, the largest motorbike manufacturer in Europe, opened its "Motohall". Lead design agency Atelier Brückner developed a speed-sensitive exhibition scenography to match the dynamics of motorcycling. On their behalf, we created a moving media production which offers far more than your typical museum visit. The highlight of the Motohall is the upper level of the exhibition with the "Heroes of Racing", a kind of hall of fame of KTM riders. There, the 30 pilots who have won the world championship on KTM machines are presented in life-size statues with their original racing machines.

About

We developed a 13-minute multimedia showcase, in which the fascination of speed, engine noise and risk-taking is presented in a thrilling way. The walls of the room become a 360-degree projection surface for the film which, with its style of production, editing, projection technology and sound effects, envelops the audience in the racing action and chases them at extreme angles over the asphalt, sand dunes, fields and scree. An experience that leaves no motorbike fan cold. "Motorsport is our central driver and emotional glue, the very core of KTM. This comes across perfectly in the Motohall," said KTM company chief Stefan Pierer.
