The AR Experience explores ruins of the Roman city of Augusta Raurica with an innovative exhibition. The archaeological excavation is brought to life by means of light, music, audio drama and an augmented reality app. Using their own smartphones or tablets, visitors travel back in time by 1700 years and immerse themselves in emotional storytelling.

About
Based on the latest research about the site, vivid and detailed 3D illustrations of the rooms and their potential inhabitants are spatially displayed via precise 3D tracking. Through the AR app, also the exterior structure of the two buildings, which were destroyed in a fire, can be explored in the context of their surroundings. The exceptional archaeological finds are staged through an installation of associative objects. They can be explored interactively with the app and inspire us to reflect on our heritage and the impact of our actions.
