"When the computers become too powerful, pull the plug out of the electrical socket." (Konrad Zuse).

To mark the 75th anniversary of the first computer made by Konrad Zuse in 1941, seven students developed production concepts based on the theme of  “The calculating space”, as part of the masters dissertation for the Theater Design and Scenography course, under the direction of Lecturer Charlotte Tamschick.

The experience-oriented environment, on one hand historical background, on the other free interpretation of the theme “The calculating space”, in the architecturally complex ZIB Dahlem and associated outdoor spaces, are the focus of the work.
