MINE OF THE FUTURE AT GRAPHITE KROPFMUEHL VISITORS CENTER

Besucherbergwerk Graphit Kropfmühl | Hauzenberg (DE) | 2016

The sole graphite mine in Germany, in Krofpmühl near Passau, allows visitors to experience the significance of graphite and graphene by entering the "Mine of the Future", an immersive, multimedia installation designed and produced by TAMSCHICK MEDIA+SPACE. The space is covered in mirror fragments, letting visitors discover the impressive physical features of the material graphene, which is mined in Kropfmühl. The immersive spatial projection illustrates the diverse fields of possible applications of the innovative material and above all emphasizes its high potential for science and technology.

The "Mine of the Future" is the final experience of the newly designed exhibition "Graphiteum" demonstrating visionary messages about the "miracle material“ before the visitors exit the museum.
