FILLING THE VOID

TU BERLIN | MASTER OF ARTS STAGE DESIGN/ SCENOGRAPHY | 2012

In the winter term 2011/12 Charlotte Tamschick conducted a workshop called “Filling the void”.
The aim was to train the visual and conceptual handling with different scenographical tools. Within the following 1-2 weeks the students from the master program developed unscripted productions with various thematic priorities.

Fill the void…. object and light
Fill the void…. object and moving images
Fill the void…. sound and light
Fill the void…. free production on the subject of “pleasure and frustration”

Aim: Each student created four space stagings in a very short and predefined time using various media. At the end of this workshop 43 models and concepts on the subject of “Filling the void” emerged.
